1st MENTION OF THE JURY.
Alvic Group Space “Alvic Smart Home” Project by Héctor Ruiz-Velázquez
The architect Héctor Ruiz-Velázquez recreated in the Alvic Group space a mini-apartment, in which a series of platforms at heights delimited the different areas: the kitchen, a living room with fireplace and the bedroom and bathroom. All the space, including the picture that decorates the wall, is made with laminated Alvic panels, which simulate different finishes.
“For making an integral space, in just 28 m2, perfectly well developed, where natural light, volumetry and horizontality of the elements are enhanced, and the maximum use is made of laminated materials, saving work and finishes. In conclusion, a magnificent architectural exercise, which respects the mobility of the individual, multiplies the storage capacity and gives a brilliant solution to the shortage of meters ”was the Jury’s conclusion
